Just ordered: New Ignivomous New Proclaimation Last Morbosidad album (since a certain cunt stole it) NWN Postage = RAPE... $14 for 3 cds! Might be cost effective if you're rich enough to buy loads... but if you're on the dole.... I'm sure you'll find it's not just NWN.

Amazon.com = £1.13 p&p if I remember correctly.
In their defense, NWN stuff always arrives quickly and generally in good condition - I'm just fucked financially at the moment. That's all my money to spend on myself for the next fortnight gone on not very much! It's just frustrating when the p&p costs as much as the cds did!

It could arrive in good condition at half the price. I don't buy from NWN because of the rape-like postage. Only worth it if you're getting loads.
np: Krisiun-Southern Storm

To be honest, it's one of the main reasons I don't just chance it with more stuff from lots of distros. The CD prices are extremely reasonable but the postage is horrific.

I have to admit, these days if an item is available, I'll buy stuff from amazon or play rather than distros.

NP: Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance
This is a lot better than I remember it being. I'm going to stick on Annihilation of the Wicked in a bit.

I've only got Black Seeds and Annihilation. To be honest, neither of them have grabbed me by the bollocks but Black Seeds is a decent album. For a band that puts so much stock into being based around Egyptian mythology, they really don't grasp the concept of atmosphere very well.
NP: P.H.O.B.O.S. - Tectonics
I doubt many people would enjoy this, given that it's almost entirely industrial death metal, but I think it's fantastic.

When you get your parcel from NWN I'd be willing to be that the postage label on the parcel is the amount you paid. Thus meaning it's really not Yosuke's fault.
Plus, the Ignivomous CD coming in shit packaging isn't going to help.

Yes, but is it really necessary to send CDs in those huge boxes?

Fair point, actually mate. I must say though I've never suffered so much as cracked jewel case from NWN thanks to those boxes.
I've had stuff from Hells Headbangers and Shadow Kingdom - amongst others - that just comes wrapped in a bit of bubble wrap and ended up with broken cases and those little teeth that hold the disc in place snapped also.

True, but thanks to a teenage life wasting money on shitty metal magazines, I now have an abundance of spare jewel cases so that's never too much of an issue. I'm interested to see the packaging for this new Ignivomous. Like you say, it's a bit of a pain in the arse, but this 17 (?) page booklet sounds interesting.
Played today: Embrace of Thorns - Atonement Ritual (this is better every time!) Bathory - Blood Fire Death

NP: Averse Sefira - Advent Parallax
I wish this album wasn't so bloody long. If the songs showed a bit more restraint in terms of length, particularly the first 3, then this would be an absolute classic.
EDIT: Just had a listen to Ignivomous. Ordered their album, plus an album by the impossibly-named Blasphemophagher. I love NWN!.
