Mausoleum - Cadaveric Displays of Ghoulish Ghastliness FUCK! This is one killer slab of old-school DM, might as well be the lost Autopsy album! Really creepy shit.... I was going to buy this album as it sounded just like the kind of metal that I like but read a couple of bad reviews and didn't bother in the end. From what you've said though it sounds worth purchasing!

How did you find the Mausoleum dude?
In the mail today I received :
Wizzard - S/T and Songs of Sin and Decadence, GREAT Finnish drunken heavy metal, with real old-school feeling! Rotting Christ - Passage to Arcturo - its the reissue with live tracks on, from when RC were still a really killer occult band.
As well as CD-Rs of Nargaroth, Clandestine Blaze, In The Woods and Fleurety.

The production is pretty poor, but the music is really great. It's highly old school and really reminiscent of Autopsy, like you say. Its not very immediate but few great albums are - I think I need to give it a few more listens. Yesterday I got the new Machetazo CD and this morning I've just had the new Necrophagia album.... not had a chance to listen to them yet, hoping to get some on this afternoon. Old school Rotting Christ is amazing!

Yeah old school Rotting Christ is fully awesome! Thy Mighty Contract and Non Serviam are two of my all time favourite albums! If you don't know them already, you'd probably like early Varathron and Necromantia if you like RC....

Razorback has another cool band releasing a CD soon, Coffins. The samples I've heard sound killer!
Now playing : Wizzard - Songs of Sin and Decadence
'You can see it in his eyes his flammable rage against disco poofters Whenever he hears false metal Sounds of breaking bones accompany his laughter.'

Also just obtained :
Sabbat - Sabbatical Holocaust - collection of old 7"s pressed to CD, heavy-black-thrash, great stuff!
Goat Horn - Storming the Gates - imagine Cathedral meets Priest/Maiden, but with a slightly more thrashy touch!
Just need some beers now!

Don't suppose that Sabbat has Blood For The Blood God on it, does it? I'm playing stuff off Chainsaw - Smell The Saw..
"Let me tell you a story, about a man who lost his job Because the market saturation threatened his shop So what about other countries, what meat do they lack The west has got it all, but they don't sell pork in Iraq
The butcher of Bagdad, the butcher of Bagdad"
Edit: Having pasted these lyrics from the bands own website, I've just noticed they've spelt Baghdad wrong... fools...

No, it doesn't have that song on..... Their discography is frankly ludicrous - just take a look at it on www.metal-archives.comedit : Just realised that you are talking about the UK Sabbat

The original and best. I missed seeing the Japanese Sabbat at Wacken somehow a few years ago... are they any good?
