Aye, fair enough. I don't think they were expensive, I think I was used to the old Reanimator prices. Woo someone at last appreciated the £1.50 pints! aw man I loved the £1.50 pints at mono bar! And you could talk there...I'm gonna become a reanimator elitist and say it just isn't like it was in the old day haha not because the new one is bad, just because I'm awkward

How anyone could drink that Amstel AIDSinaglass £1.50 shit I don't know. It was the vilest thing I've ever tasted (and I've tasted some vileness).

Actually buying beer with the intention of it being Carling (and not as a last resort) is a sin

It was extra cold, which was more than can be said for any of the other lagers. Carling might taste of piss, but so do most lagers; getting the fucker cold negates foulness. General rule - lager bad. Cold lager... passable.
To boot, I thought it'd make sense on a budget haha.

Extra cold Carling actually refers to the brewing and filtration steps being done at colder temperatures, not the serving temperature I beleive?

Yeah, that's what I thought? Isn't it only Coors (and in very few pubs) that actually do the really cold lager with ice crystals in?

Extra cold Carling actually refers to the brewing and filtration steps being done at colder temperatures, not the serving temperature I beleive? Nah. What it refers to is cooling it in the cellar, in the pipes which get it from kegs to the bar, and an additional cooler under the bar to kepe it served at a temperature of three to four degrees. Cold filtration is usually reserved for vodka, I think. And yeah, Coors to have Coors Sub Zero, where they freeze some water into a very fine cloud of ice crystals to form the head of your pint. Takes about 2 minutes to get a sodding drink outta that thing, though.
