Quite impressive. You should get Battleheart from Scotland to play with them, too. Then again, I know folk metal with trad. instruments/trad.instrument sounding synths isn't a cup of tea for most people, especially if your name is Dan, Wayne or Tom...

It appears they've changed their name to Alestorm...
...and signed to Napalm records. That can make their asking price a bit tricky. They were quite unknown when I last looked them up, fucking hell...

Evile are signed to Earache, and various other "name" bands are still willing to play smaller shows. Even Onslaught were talking about doing some shows with grass-roots promoters, and I think Napalm Death did something similar.
Battleheart or Alestorm... makes no difference to me, they're still unknown. Signed or not doesn't really make a difference.
If someone wants to play a gig badly enough, they'll do it, even for petrol money and a plate of sandwiches.

Darkest Era sounds really good - I wholeheartedly endorse the idea of more folky bands playing.
I'm really looking forward to this gig.

Battleheart/Alestorm are a class band, they were camped next to us at Metalcamp, they come from Scotland like a fishing village or something. I think

I already contacted Battleheart about playing a Reanimator sometime. They read my message but didn't favour me with the courtesy of a reply, so I am taking this as a no.

This is Glyn from Heathen Foray, just a quick note to say that we're thrilled to be playing this Saturday, we've never played in Birmingham before so it's new territory for us and we're honoured that it's at a reanimator event. It will also be fantastic to see the other bands, all of which I think are fantastic and look forward to witnessing live. We are different live to our soundclips on myspace as we won't be using keyboards at this gig, it's also difficult to upload a high quality file to myspace cause of the size factor, I know other bands do it, I just don't know how hahaha. Anyway, we have uploaded a couple of better produced tracks from our new ep so who knows maybe they'll sound better then the old ones but they are still at a low bitrate, either way, I hope you're pleasantly surprised when you see us live.
See Thee All Saturday \m/
Glyn
