A couple of people have commented that we've booked fucking loads of thrash gigs of late. I haven't heard any actual moaning but just thought I'd say we're aware.
Its come about as a combination of us having strong ties with the UK thrash community, the shows we have put on getting a really good reception and a couple of shows we've had planned falling through (Bonesaw, for example... and we almost had some booked for the first weekend in July / mid August too, but thats a different story).
We've got some non-thrash shows in the pipeline however so watch this space.
As long as you don't put Amenti on any "thrash" bills, I don't mind. More doom and old school death would be great though, as there's only so much thrash I can take.
On the case of mixed bills, I actually like it as it varies the night up a bit... as long as none of the bands are false and still manage to compliment eachother it's cool! After all, look at the legendary grindcrusher tour - none of the bands on that were particularly similar, but it was still a killer lineup!
I thought Diamanthian/Anoxia/Maniakal Torment was one of the better lineups too: three bands with different sounds but enough shared influences to give the lineup some shape. I was looking forward to the Bonesaw show too as I felt each band brought something a bit different to the table.

I do like a bit of thrash (now and then) and its good that the night has ties within the UK Thrash scene but we have seen a couple of bands a couple of times now, that my only real complaint. It would be nice to get some more sludge / doom every now and then... but as Luke said at the begining of this thread, "some non-thrash shows in the pipeline."
