I watched Rocky 2 last night. I love it when he is fighting Apollo Creed and the announcer realises or is even suprised Rocky a southpaw (like me) is "right-handed". Just watched the Top Gear special on BBC2 was pretty epic they drove from Bolivia to Chile in 4x4 bangers.

Today I've watched New York Ripper and Bruno. Both wrong, but in very different ways.

Agreed. Head and shoulders above the sequels. I most recently watched In The Loop which was surprisingly funny, with it's entirely cynical (and most likely accurate) portrayal of British/American politics.

Any reason why you were surprised it was funny? Season 3 of The Thick of It, which has been on TV/iPlayer recently has been brilliant.

I watched Lone Wolf McQuade last night, and was more than surprised. I expected another merely enjoyable Chuck Norris film where the first half is boring and the second half is funny. What I actually got was the best action film I've discovered since Action Jackson! Hilarious from the beginning, loads of killer lines, some unusual stuff (Chuck gets his end away, gets injured and gets his feelings hurt!), a great pace, and mint synth music every time David Carradine came on!

Recently watched (or re-watched);
Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Extremely funny film, undoubtedly Matthew Broderick's greatest hour and the chick who plays his girlfriend is fit. It also features the best headmaster in movie history.
Extras Series 2, was inspired by a text from Nick this morning to dig out my DVD again. Possibly the best UK sitcom ever made.
Also spent Saturday night re-watching most of series 2 of The Inbetweeners which I was pleasantly surprised to discover is fucking hilarious as before I watched it I expected normal teeny crap.

Just watched Der Golem. I love old silent horror films.

I watched the first part of the new adaptation of Day of The Triffids yesterday (on iplayer), thought it started well but quickly became bogged down and lost pace once Jason Priestly's character appeared. Eddie Izzard was good as Torrence though.
Rocky 1 is ace! All the others are fetid crap, until you get to Rocky Balboa which I thought was really good.
