I agree with most of those. Excoriate is the best by a long stretch, for me. Still not heard the new Megadeth, Amesoeurs or Peste Noire.

Ignivomous - Death Transmutation
Funebrarum - The Sleep of Morbid Dreams
Grave Miasma - Exalted Emanations
These are the ones that really stand out for me; I think they might actually be the only brand new albums I've bought this year.

Destroyer 666 - Defiance stands head and shoulders above everything else released this year. Katharsis would probably be my second pick, followed by Excoriate.

not brought a lot of cds this year due to me being on the dole most of it but heres my list of what ive really enjoyed.
Hatebreed - Hatebreed, I was really nervous about hearing this album Supremacy was not tehre best and the least said about there coveres album the better but apart from 2 songs that they have tried new things on which have really not worked this is my idea of the perfect metallic hardcore album.
Blasphemer - On the Inexistance of god, This album is just really solid and very enjoyable
Ingested - Surpassing the Boundries of Human Suffering, Ill get slated for this but fuck it really good album
those are the 3 that at the moment stick out im sure more will come to mind though

Need to think about this. The albums I've been listening to the most this year in general weren't released this year.

The new Destroyer is, in my opinion, their best record yet. Shocking! I do really dig the new record, but it's probably my least favourite of all of their releases. |

Heh, shows what I know.
Also, I can't believe I forgot 'Engram' by Beherit. What an album, what a statement after all those years out of action. My enjoyment of this was not some novelty thing because of a legendary band releasing a new record, this is evil set to music and is probably the only thing I've heard this year that comes near Grave Miasma.
