Really horrible and sad news. I can't claim that I knew Mike but I had met him a few times and chatted with him and he seemed like a lovely guy, very genuine.
Bit of a cliche but you have to feel for his bandmates and his family.

I spent some time with the band when they last played at the Barfly - Mike was a really nice guy who whipped out a photo of his daughter when he realised I was going to become a grandfather soon and most of our chat was about our kids and our hopes for them.
Really shocked at him dying so young.

Ed, you're not the only one who made the Metallica jokes. I really feel sorry for his family and bandmates, and for him as well - he had so much to live for and to have that taken away is just upsetting.

This is a bloody shame as Evile were a bloody great new band that looked very promising. I heard it was a random blood clot in the brain. How crappily unlucky.
