Just had a quick look, if you help rather than kill Roy Phillips (the ghoul near tenpenny tower), then a possible story line is they attack tenpenny tower. That could be it?
Pove - The guide is pretty massive, i could pop round your house one evening this week if your free?

I've got a bit of a problem, in that some bastard has stuck a price on my head and I keep getting ambushed by teams of talon mercs. I can't beat all three at once so I've been running away from them, so there's now a group outside the Metro Station in Greyditch and another outside the comic shop. How do I make this stop?

Kill em, use a combination of VATS (shotgun/assault rifle) and grenades, look around for cars to shoot as there ticking time bombs when it comes to killing someone.
Oh yea good armour is a must.

Pove - Sorry mate don't use torrents! Though it's an excuse to meet up for a few beers and some gaming Luke - I think you get the price on your head for not blowing up Megaton, the groups of mercs are a random encounter you get along your travels! As pove said combat shotgun up close always works a treat for me, take your time and use the VATS system and use stimpaks/water etc. to keep your health topped up mid battle! I have heard about a few bugs about loading save games and suddenly there is a bunch of monsters in front of you, maybe try a slightly older save game?

Ah, that makes sense. I haven't got a combat shotgun, only a crappy little sawn off, so I'll wait till I can get hold of one and then go wipe the bastards out. Cheers Paddy.

Yeah I had those Talon fucks all over me ever time I emerged from a metro. I just dealt with it by killing them, but they were quite hard. I used a lot of flame thrower and combat shotgun.

Just Save before you leave a location. Its random encounters so you may not find them after entering the next location.

Lifted from the offical site :
Bethesda has revealed that the Operation: Anchorage expansion pack for Fallout 3 will be available as of January 27th. It will cost 800 points for Xbox 360 and PC. In related news, a v1.1 patch has been released to fix a number of bugs.

Straks, your advice is super-sage. Today I learned not to shoot a behemoth with a mini-nuke.... when it's right in front of you.

Straks, your advice is super-sage. Today I learned not to shoot a behemoth with a mini-nuke.... when it's right in front of you. Hm, haven't tried that one before ;-) The only behemoth I've encountered so far was in a raider camp. There were a lot of frag mines to collect, so I put them on the ground and lured the behemoth to them. Needless to say that I lost a limb or to during the action :-D Anyone got the Railway Rifle? The Animation of a Railwayspike splattering a Super Mutants head is excellent, esp. when you've got the Bloody Mess Perk before...

Thats awesome. I can highly recommend putting live mines in peoples pockets by the way. I've got a ton of spikes but no rifle... there's so much of this game I haven;t even touched on yet.

I have only found 2 Behemoths so far one before you get into the GnR building and the other in the west wing.
I know there is an achievement for killing em all. So I really want to get it haha.
Im trying to become the president of the Republic of Dave atm, I have Lincolns Rifle to which is awesome most powerful gun in the game.
It just sucks cause it only fires .44 rounds and there hard to get the ROCKET-IT launcher is pretty fun as it can fire anything you can find.

Shame on me, but I didn't made it to the GNR Building, yet. I was walking around that Area, but didn't find a way to it.
