I have it, only played two days so far. Its very hard actually for the following wierd reason: its still a top-down third person rpg, but dressed as a FPS. I am struggling to kill ants eventhough I have a minigun. I can unload into them, but in actual fact if my big gun skill isn't high, it doesn't do anything. So I get carried away thinking that I am super hard cos I have big guns when actually it doesn't mean shit and I need to level up a lot more before I tackle harder areas. Its odd.
In fact, Far Cry 2 was the opposite. It felt like an RPG with guns only the gun firing was ace but they TOTALLY screwed up the quests. Boring as hell! Fallout 3 has way better story already and I have only just started it.

An Assualt Rifle or Automatic Shotgun are the best to kill Fire Ants, did you buy them or find them after killing a bad guy? Also that Fire Ant mission is pretty tough so just do the first couple of missions in megaton to gain EXP

Ah Nick, the fact you thought its an FPS is a problem and probably has fucked the experience of the game up for you.
I would consider re-starting the game to be honest.

S'alright, I changed my mindset and am now enjoying it! Eventually killed all the fire ants, and heaped a load of skill points onto my small arms so now I am a lot better at killing things. Loving the missions though, way more imagination than Far Cry 2. Haha and I think I can be forgiven for thinking it was a FPS given that you see it in first person and shoot stuff

I am well into it now, but my mate told me the main quest is fairly short so I am just wandering around doing side quests ad infinitum. About level 16 now. It's a great game. Also just installed Red Alert 3 so should be playing that coop with Sam in a few hours!

Yeah I was pretty wounded when I found out by accident the main quest is well short. I've maxed out now and im trying to get all the achievements for the game.
The expansion pack comes out extremely soon tho

How is RA3 on the xbox? being a pc nerd I cant play games like that on a controller.
Good/Evil really does'nt apply. Its more of a Karma thing you can actually complete the majority of the missions with killing anyone and just using your mouth.
