Seems only fair to say this now: due to a bunch of changes in our personal lives (like Billy getting a real job and Povey getting about 100 jobs) it's very likely that Reanimator will not continue past the end of this year. We have gig commitments running into the Autumn but as it stands we are not booking any more shows after that. We'll have to see how things turn out.
Needless to say I'm gutted, and also a little disappointed that we haven't managed to go onto the bigger things I was hoping for at the start of 2008, but the situation re. venues and general scene apathy really hasnt been kind to us. That said we've done some great shows and we've got some good ones lined up, and something might change... just thought I'd give you lot the heads up...

Thanks

Guys, we really shouldn't let this die without a struggle!
Is there NOTHING any of us other guys can do, to try and keep this afloat?

Sad times. I don't mind admitting that Reanimator nights have given purpose to a lot of weekends where I'd have otherwise had fuck all to do. I don't think I've ever had a dull time at one, even when it's bands I'm not keen on, which is a compliment to the company I keep at those nights.
I like Stone's sentiments but I'm a terrible organizer and just downright lazy to be honest, so I can do nothing! Reanimator has turned acquaintances into friends for me as well (Billy, Luke, Charlotte, Nick, JP, Tath) so I'm very grateful. I'm going to stop now before I get too emotional.

This is a real shame. You have all done so much for many, many Heavy Metal bands and I’m sure they all appreciate it. I know Battlewitch do. Without the support of you chaps and the Metal Brew boys we would have never played out of the Bristol area. Does that mean Battlewitch can’t have our album release party at Reanimator ROCK ON

Cheers guys. It's not set in stone yet, but right now it's looking like it will simply be too much for just me to handle. We'll see. I'm thinking of maybe canning the monthly shows and just doing the odd one here and there - which means we can sort you out Mazz, should you ever release an album, you know..

Well, obviously I hope you guys might be able to carry on doing future shows now and again I totally understand if you're not able to though...promoting takes a huge amount of time, effort and dedication, and I'm amazed at the consistent very high quality of the nights that have been put on. Just wish I'd started going to Reanimator earlier! All power for you for putting on so many great nights.

This is not good news at all, especially after how good last night was.

In all seriousness if anyone is interested in getting involved let me know, but I warn you now that you'd be looking at a shedload of work. You'd need to be prepared to contribute a lot of time, money and effort and you get nothing back apart from getting to meet and see some awesome bands (which is a reward in itself as far as I'm concerned!) It'd also help if you could handle heavy lifting, dealing with idiots and working with me at my unreasonable, short tempered and stubborn worst

It's nowhere near as bad as Luke makes out haha!
Seriously, it is hard work, but very rewarding.
