One: how fucking hot? Normally I'd never complain: after sex, beer and metal then sun is my favourite thing. In fact, sex beer and metal IN the sun (well, basking in its wonderful glowy goodness as opposed to inside its burning nuclear death) IS my favourite thing. But I've been driving all the damn time of late so I have sunburned arms (damn windchill effect) and I'm all sticky. Yuck. Anyways, wandering along a beach in Bournemouth it occured to me that someone should invent Beach Metal. Or at least Sunshine Metal. Hmm, maybe the sun's gotten to me...
Two: probably won't wash with a lot of people on these here forums but Nine Inch Nails were INCREDIBLE on Friday. Came outta the Academy resembling something that'd been drowned. And attacked with a meat tenderiser. Excellent stuff.

had this idea a while ago, a metal festival/beach party type thing, though couldnt decide if would be better to relocate to an actual beach or just fill a venue with sand!

Actual beach, then you can have the sea and REAL SUNSHINE Also, I gotta make an adendum to my oiginal post: after sex, beer, metal and football, the sun is my favourite thing. COME ON THE 'POOL! AND HB!

Rah Nick man - you fooking ledgend mate! I was cheering on HB too, was gutted when they didn't get through! I've liked HB ever since I played with them on Sensible World Of Soccer in about 1994, and really wanted to wear my HB shirt to the home match if they'd got through! Good to know someone else wanted them to go through, or was that just because they're not as good as the Lithuanians? Onto Summer / Beach Metal... there's an ace Canadian black metal band called Woods Of Ypres, who classify themselves as Summer Black Metal! It's one guy, but the music he creates is really fucking good - really uplifting BM like early Ulver and a bit of a doom feeling too! Check em out: www.woodsofypres.ca/

Cheers mate I'll give that a whirl...
To be honest I was only supporting HB 'cause a) I know you have their shirt, b) most of them are Liverpool fans themselves and c) 'cause they're not backed by sume Lithuanian multi-millionaire who just bought Hearts, hehe...
All in all, job well done against TNS, shoulda done better, gutted HB didn't get through. When Liverpool play in Brum we should go mate, it'd be a helluva laugh!
