I'm doing a website for a band called Secretality, and I'd like some feedback on a symbol I made. Nick, following our conversation the other day, I can send you a tutorial showing how I made the background from scratch. The test site is at www.nekrosoft.co.uk/secretality/ The site's incomplete (you can tell because I've borrowed the background from my own site as a placeholder image), it's just the intro picture I'm concentrating on. |

Just tinker. I can give you a goth tutorial at some point if you want. It's how I made:  into:  Just use Dodge (smooths the skin out), Sponge (desaturates), and Burn (darkens the skin with natural bruised flesh tones, rather than just painting with black)tools at varying settings to "paint" the dead look on. |

Nice design, just one comment: the name of the band is hard to read, maybe increase the contrast between the layers.
Other then that it rocks.

It's only meant as a symbol to go on the site's header. They have their own logo for legibility purposes

I'd like to ask for opinions again... I've been working on my own website for a while now, and have come up with a design I like. There are still a lot of bits that are incomplete (both in the design and the content) but I'd like to see what people think of it so far. The current incarnation of Nekrosoft was only supposed to be a placeholder. It only lasted so long because other things got in the way. The new version is at www.nekrosoft.co.uk/newsite/news.htm (haven't done an intro yet) In the end there will be a Flash animation in the top left hand corner of the white box. It will look like a page has been peeled back, and the old Nekrosoft cog symbol will be rotating underneath (as reference to the previous version). Various sections are incomplete and there are no links to the work yet, even where the thumbnails are present. I'd be interested to hear thoughts on the navigation system (I was always aware that the old one was a bit obscure), and the design, which I have tried to modernise and make it less dark, whilst remaining "dark" in feel.
