Nick, how killer is the new Witchrist! I've been listening to it regularly since I got it! They're even more killer live!

I'm itching for it to arrive mate. I imagine with the snow and the shambolic Greek postal system I'll be without it for some time to come! I might have to get some Diocletian to tide me over...
Apparently they, and indeed The 'Mentum (if you ever do a hardcore band, you'd best use that name) slayed at Black Mass Ritual.

I actually missed Witchrist, but Diocletian were killer at BMR. I thought we were shit, sound was beyond pathetic (that what's you get when you employ the guy from Finntroll to do your sound), and I was totally possessed with flu so my voice was fucked. The gig we played together in Ireland was probably our best though, Witchrist, Diocletian and Wreck of the Hesperus absolutely levelled the place. You heard the new Diocletian yet? I'm not sure if I like it as much as Doom Cult... but it's still brilliant!

Nah not yet man. I'll probably wait for Stained Glass Revelations to come out then order a load of stuff from Invictus... I need to get both of their full-lengths, actually. To be honest, it's only very recently that I really started to appreciate that chaotic, filthy sound (I've been playing Seven Chalices with alarming frequency lately) so I'll probably have to go out and buy loads of that sort of thing. I've been listening to the two Blasphemy albums on Spotify and they're devastating!
Anastasis was saying the sound at BMR was shite - he said you could have a conversation at normal volume right by the stage!
For what it's worth, Zero Tolerance reckoned you were excellent haha!

Probably because the reviewer is friends with our drummer haha. Any chance you could send me a scan or something? Still interested to see what they said! Yeah, Anastasis was right. In fact, I had that conversation with him at the side of the stage! Haha!
By the way, I've heard SGR a few times now - believe it or not, it wipes the floor with the first album!
To be honest, I'm really struggling to decide what I think of Seven Chalices. Sometimes I listen to it and think it sounds totally evil and possessed, but then put it on again hours later and think it sounds dull and lifeless. With Blasphemy, I do like them, just not as much as everyone else feels they have to. I honestly think Diocletian really are at the top of that game! If you haven't tried it, I'd recommend the first Black Witchery album as well, or the split with Conqueror.

I'm really excited to hear SGR, but I have no desire to listen without the artwork and full package. At least I'm trying to hold back any desires haha!
How you can call Seven Chalices lifeless?! It's one of the most possessed and dark records ever. It does require a bit of endurance though...
Got a ludicrous amount of stuff on the way, or recently here at the compound: Ascension - With Burning Tongues CD Ascension - Fire and Faith 12" Urfaust - Einsiedler MCD Dodsengel - Mirium Occultum DLP Dodsengel - Visionary DLP Dodsengel - Beyond Choronzon 10" Dodsengel - Ecstatic Horror 7" Nyktalgia - Peisithanatos Digi CD Weapon - From the Devil's Tomb CD Sonne Adam - Armed With Hammers 7" Demon Pact - Released from Hell LP Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm CD Inquisition - Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult LP (was too lovely looking to resist) Vomitor - Devil's Poison CD Nocturnal Blood - Devastated Graves...the Morbid Celebration CD Black Witchery - Inferno of Sacred Destruction CD Black Witchery - Live Desecration Ritual tape Dekalog, the Ten Commandments, parts I and II DVD
Fingers crossed that I should also be obtaining: Countess - Hells Rock and Roll MCD Desolation Angels - Feels Like Thunder 5LP Boxset
I need a MONTH off from work to appreciate all those fully. Been a bit of a mad buying period. And not only that, I need new releases like the Helvetets Port EP and new Urfaust album. AAARRRGGGHHH!

Is it the packaging that's holding it up? Ro got a burn of it off Darragh, so I've heard it around his a few times, but I'll certainly be buying it as soon as it's out. Absolutely amazing stuff!
As for Seven Chalices... I don't know, I've tried to get into it for ages and like I say, sometimes it totally sucks me in, and other times it's just comes across as completely boring. I couldn't even put into words what it is that I think it sometimes lacks...
Some kirrar stuff you got there by the way Bill! The Sonne Adam 7" kills, and the new Inquisition is by far their best yet! I really need to pick up the first album on vinyl too, I've not seen the artwork, but Kramer's stuff is always great!

Beheaded Ouroboros arrived today and it's an utterly monumental album; so ferocious.
