Right! Time for my quick post-gig thing.
This has to be a strong contender for the best ever show we've done. The lineup was mint from top to bottom and all the bands pretty much exceeded expectations. The bands I'd seen before all outplayed previous performances: the ones I was seeing for the first time exceeded my expectations. I've been sitting here trying to write a quick summary of each but it sounds a bit too gushing, really and truly if you haven't listened to anyone on the bill and you're even slightly interested in their style please do it, you will not be let down. That goes doubly if you get a chance to see them live.
I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the turnout considering the quality of the lineup and the attention the show had got beforehand, however there was enough there for (a) it not to be a disaster and (b) the atmosphere to be dead good. There were even two guys there who came over especially from Switzerland for the show (and brought chocolate)
I want to say a gigantic thank you to both Dan's for helping me out on the door, especially Dan P who didn't even like any of the bands and came anyway. That's amazing - I owe you one mate.
Of course thanks to anyone who came out and supported us and hopefully had a killer time of it, and all the bands who played their hearts out, brought gear, had some banter and made it such a memorable show. Nice one!

Im traumatized by men in spandex. The site is also seared onto my brain Of all the bands Dark Forest were the ones who didn't quite click for me. Their new singer is so talented but I can't quite 'get it'... yet. Everybody was raving about their set however, and they certainly are getting tighter and slicker every time I see them. I think they're going to go up and up.

Must say a big thanks to everyone that organised and helped out. As Wayne said to me yesterday, Reanimator is the only place I'd trust with my £5 or £10 to put on a bunch of ace bands and cracking all-round gigs. Hats off boys and girls. Cheers dude! We do have a knack for picking excellent bands if I say so myself. How good were Darkest Era yesterday? I was expecting a great performance but after the first song i was like, fucking hell!

No worries Luke, to be fair, I didn't do much. I just sat on my arse during the bands I wasn't too fussed about, and chatted shit. I'd do the same if I wasn't on the door, apart from I wouldn't be putting money into a tin, so that's fine

Hey, no worries - I know how these things go. We should all arrange a booze up or something one weekend, it's about time I stopped being so reclusive!

Pie Factory? What have I missed out on here? ;D Pie. Four pounds of pie! 4lb's of epic meat and potato pie and brontosaurus spare ribs like from the Flintstones. The food is so manly it would actually make Billy and meat eater again.

I've eaten a veggie pie there since, which was top. Pove hasn't explained the full shame of vomiting meat back into his pie and then re-eating it, or being shamed by a devastating display of eating by first Casper, and then me.

I've actually got the pictures on my digi cam, well not the vom/gristle. Did'nt you go home to eat a large pizza or something to?
