I was thinking today about my favourite bands that have played at Reanimator and I realised we'd never really had this on the board before. Compiling a top 5 I'd have to go with;
1. Gama Bomb - truly killer band, one of the best bands I've seen anywhere!
2. Warning - these guys were brilliant, so pleased the albums have been finally reissued.
3. Salute
4. The Lamp of Thoth
5. Enforcer - very 80's, very Metal and very fucking good!

Extremely difficult for me, as I've had the pleasure and honour of booking loads of bands I love, but:
1. Warning - nothing even comes close to the devastating impact of these guys.
2. Gama Bomb - top mates, top tunes, and great live energy every time.
3. Dark Forest - although I've joined them now, at the time I was overjoyed to find a local band that I truly loved, and they were killer live.
4. Enforcer - just a heavy metal attack!
5. Hell Militia - although I was 'distracted' at times during their set, it was really sick, and exactly what black metal should be!
Other notables for me include Salute, The Lamp of Thoth, Imindain, Nocturnal, Mutant, etc.

From the handful of Reanimators that I've been to (if the thrash metal massacre can be included):
1. Evile
2. Gama Bomb
3. Enforcer (I can't wait to get some of this on LP or disc)
4. Mutant
5. Seregon (bonus points for obligatory Sepultura cover)

Hell Milita - was a experience
The First Reanimator at C11, seeing all the people turn up!
and the
The unoffical first Reanimator gig - Monstrosity/Vile/Deeds of Flesh and Impaled. Cause it proved that Birmingham was hungry for metalz!

Very tough for me also, as like Billy I've had the honour of booking some of the bands that are my personal favourites anyway.
i think my favourite three have probably been:
1. Sirocco
2. Gama Bomb
3. Warning
After that it becomes incredibly hard to choose - The River, Lamp of Thoth, HOD, Dark Forest, Battlewitch, Anoxia, Serpentcult, Nocturnal, Enforcer etc etc

I think there are some pretty choice gigs coming up tbh, two of them im REALLY REALLY excited about.
