Bar staff looked like they needed a couple of happy pills, or maybe just needed to get layed.
I do think 100% it was too loud. I tried standing all over the place but everywhere I went it was just a muddy wall of sound. Like someone said, you'll probably get people telling you to turn it up if you turn it down but for all the gigs I've been to that just seemed a little too loud for the smallness of the room.
What about setting up a stall type thing for bands/distros/labels to sell from sometimes? I know the last band last time had t-shirts set up but it'd maybe be nice before the bands play and during to have a stall set up with bits and bobs to purchase. We all like a good purchase. Just an idea though, and I usualy suck at them.

We'll see what we can do about the sound, it seems that everyone agrees. I thought it was juts me getting old... wait.. I am old. All the bands are welcome to bring & flog merch - as for distro's: we're way ahead of you there....  |

With regards to the sound, one small suggestion would be mentioning it to the sound engineer on the night... Telling us after the show is much appreciated, but it would benefit the gigging experience if it was mentioned whilst something could be done about it!

Well I wouldn't complain about being ID'd then really, they are only doing their job.  BTW I have been ID'd 6 times now that I am 25! And nothing for 5 years before that! I must have grown even younger looking hehehe *where's that beautiful person emoticon...* |
