i'm sure if people REALLY wanted to come, most could get a relatively cheap taxi home, especially if with mates etc. so its really just laziness/apathy.

Yeah but these days its far cooler to be 'seen' at a gig rather then actually going to enjoy yourself and support a band.

Slightly confused here.
Statements regarding apathy and laziness within the Metal community, followed up by comments that its cool to be seen at a gig.
I go to Reanimator gigs even if I do not have an interest in the bands that night.

Hmm, I'm going to sound a little bit of a hypocrite now but I have actually been known to attend Reanimators with bands I'm not into, but this is because I know my £4/5 entry fee is going to the only guys likely to use it to help book some bands I actually do want to see.

Same here. And I know there'll always be someone to have a laugh with, regardless of the bands.

Even if its a genre that I'm not into it's good to have variety. And the value for money of course. Plus there are alway a good bunch of people to talk too. I gave up trying to be cool about 30 years ago.

Thanks guys, our hope is always that although people might not be that familiar with the bands we book they'll come and give them a chance because (a) they trust us to pick good bands and (b) theres little better than seeing new live bands on the cheap.
