Dave is the sound guy. Wayne, you looked totally hammered when I saw you on the stairs! Shit, I didn't realise anything happened to him. Good that he's ok anyway. And yeah, I was wrecked by the end. I'd had a few Stella's but they ran out so I hit the vodka then they ran out of that too. This left me only one option; Jack Daniel's. Fantastic day all round. Gama Bomb were amazing but I've come to expect no less. Mutant, Deceptor, Let 'Em Burn and what I remember of Evile were other major highlights.

They were super shirts guys - I look forward to more for other nights in the future! To be fair eiren my belly isn't really that big yet - only 4 months gone and it just looks like I've had one too many pies! I saw your lady however, she looks lovely and pregnant! Have you found out the sex yet? I've yet to have my second scan.... Nope not yet, we're about the same length of time into pregnancy as you.. so not due another scan for a bit yet. I hope the thrash induction has paid off for the little ones!

Review from Kerrang! KKKK's
HOMEGROWN THRASH-HOUNDS GET READY TO SICK 'EM.
THE VENUE might be more accustomed to bingo and wedding receptions but for the booze and sweat-soaked true believers shoe-horned in tonight, it matters not. The day-long bill of thrash up and comers proves this scene is ready to go over the top any minute now, with a palpable sense of camaraderie and healthy competition pervading the ranks.
New Earache signings, Gama Bomb capitalise on a primed evening crowd to cheekily (almost) steal the show with a canny and refreshing take on the 'if it ain't broke' thrash formula. The charismatic Irish mob offer up a beer'n'brains-flavoured feast of frantic, hook-heavy, schlock horror homages, with a side-order of knowing, irony-free humour. Pits a'circle and bodies a'surf and all the while, everyone has a bloody big grin on their mug. Oodles of fun.
It's a tough act to follow for Huddersfield labelmates, Evile but they knuckle down and show they are made of stern stuff. With a slick and more straight reading from the old skool masters' template, they race through a brutalising, not-a-drop-spilt set that's almost mechanical in its efficacy, inspiring serious bouts of air-guitar throwdowns and hilarious heave-ho among the dudes dressed as sumo wrestlers. The crowd can't match the band's relentless intensity, perhaps suffering from all-day thrash fatigue but when the houselights rudely come on halfway through the clarion call of Thrasher, it triggers a second wind of rebellious belligerence, with band and audience ignoring the curfew to go even faster and harder. Honours even then. Just.
kinda sucky the other bands did'nt get a mention but still....

Yeah, you can tell they're only trying to latch on to the next thing they can sell but at least they had the courtesy to turn up.
