Balls. I just wrote out the list of songs I played last night, but the blasted forum didn't accept my post.
Anyhoo, to cut a long story short, I'm recording them as reasonable quality mp3s so you can hear them as tasters.

Tom, are you interested in tape/cd-r trading? Think I mentioned something about it to you aeons ago......

Nope, I don't trade out of principle. I'll send people a few now and then if it's hard to get, and post mp3s as samples like I just did, but I don't agree with people claiming to "own" thousands of kvlt releases, just because they trade or download mp3s. I only claim to have physical items I possess. I only sell duplicates too (incidentally I have a second copy of the Mayhem Out From The Dark red disc if anyone wants to give me a gold one ) It may sound a bit odd, but I have very strict philosphies with the music I listen to. It all makes sense to me, if no one else!

Hehe no problem, each to their own, but some stuff is just impossible to get.....
And I'd rather hear stuff before I buy it a lot of the time.....you can't possibly buy EVERYTHING, so why not just buy the best?

I like to be surprised. I buy a lot of tapes that I've never heard of before, and most of the time it's decent or even excellent (esp Eastern bloc).
The stuff that's impossible is rarely that good anyway, plus there are always bootlegs. Black Legions stuff is often overrated, and Moonblood are good, but not worth $1000!
Whilst bootlegs aren't the best option, I'd rather do that than spend a ridiculous amount (and I prefer to have any CD or tape over an mp3), even if it does take money away from the artists.
Mind you in the case of Mutiilation and bands/label who bootleg themselves, I think it's incredibly jewish and they deserve castration.

There's a lot of good stuff that is really hard to get hold of.....1st two Mortuary Drape albums for example, Katharsis '666' until recently.....
Not much of a fan of MP3s, but a dubbed CD-R or tape is surely better than a bootleg?

That policv makes sense to me too... I don't believe in MP3 trading either, and whilst I will copy tracks or albums for people on occasion it's only ever if I know that they'll head out and buy the original as soon as possible after they've heard it.... Cheers for the tasters Tom, I'm hunting for some of that stuff you played Wednesday already!
About to post a rough list of what I played, as far as I can remember.... hopefully we can get this as a function on the main page.

Gah, memory blanks. As I remember them, and consult my cd wallet, I shall fill in the rest.

The new Engorged album is fucking killer, the best CD I've bought for a long time! Engorged and Ghoul are both regulars in my set, so you should hear them if you can come to the next one.... maybe Face Down too, as that band were criminally overlooked
