Raven was a possibility, but turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I expressed interest, and said I'd look in to how feasible it would be, then got back to their manager and said sorry but it won't be happening. She kept sending e-mails saying she awaits our offer etc, and I kept replying saying we weren't in a position to do it. She just didn't get it. Saying "I'll have a think about it" doesn't equate to a contractual agreement in my opinion...
They think they'll still fill venues like the main Academy, or the Civic, whereas in reality they'd probably struggle to fill the Little Civic!

Saying "I'll have a think about it" doesn't equate to a contractual agreement in my opinion... It does when it comes to people joining Infant Bile on bass

Yeah! Budgie play the Limelight in Crewe fairly often, so they might be used to slightly bigger stages now, could be expensive... but if you could do it that would be fantastic. I guess a load of Metallica queers would turn up for them which would help pack it out

My extended family have lived there all their lives and it's like purgatory. I don't live too far from Crewe, I don't really think it's such a bad place. Much better than Stoke! There's a venue called the Limelight which is a fairly large capacity venue for the size of the town, it generally puts on tribute bands (killers of live music!) but deals with the smaller end of mainstream bands, I've seen a couple of bands there such as Focus, Budgie, Mostly Autumn (I know, I know!) and the likes...
