I got the album last week, it's left me a bit cold so far. I'll be giving it plenty more plays though because the Psalm Bok EP is absolutely brilliant.

The EP is incredible, definitely one of my all time doom favourites. Haven't heard the album yet, but the track from the compilation 7" was a bit less amazing.

I need to hear this EP ASAP then! I listened to the album once today and it impressed me, later on, I burnt some incense, switched all the lights off and played it really loud, and I got that feeling that you don't get often when you know you've heard something quite special!

I've got some bad news for you regarding your sexuality!

I've got some bad news for you regarding your sexuality! Hahahahahahahaha. I almost coughed myself to death laughing at that. I know how gay it sounds, and I'm sure it probably conjures images of group hugs and drum beating in the woods, but when you take the "new age" bullshit out of the equation and remember what incense was used for before it was a fad with tie-died animal rights activists, it's use for furthering the experience of this sort of music makes sense. At least to me it does anyway.

You're probably right, it's just that I've only ever smelt the stuff around the 'new agers' that you mention. Is it not expensive?

Haha, you mean the stuff that smells like bathroom air freshener? Nasty. Don't worry though, I won't be wearing a "realistic animal t-shirt" the next time you see me or anything! ;D
It depends where you shop from, I found a site that isn't bad online. Also my mum is a part time aromatherapist so she's got plenty of stuff I can pinch.

I hate to say that I concur with Dan. Last time a few people were over for beers we were listening to black metal by candlelight.

Flavian's a sound bloke but his taste in music is questionable. That said, I think Phil Collins-era Genesis is some of the greatest music I've ever heard, so what the fuck do I know. Has anyone heard Void of Silence?

Nicholas, you need to expand your tastes into badly produced early 80s heavy metal from around the globe.

Haha!
Void of Silence - "Human Antithesis" is really good. It's major point is Alan from Primordial does lead vocals on the album, and his voice is fantastic. I think that' you'd really like it Nick. The other albums are pretty boring though.
