Cheers guys! I'm totally fucked this morning, will write a proper post later. Suffice to say it was a mental show, bands all played best performances I have seen from them, and it wasd great to see such a good turnout. A fitting show for Reanimator to bow out of in 2008, but hopefully not for good.
Thanks Bill, your support is fantastic. Glad you enjoyed yourself! It was a really killer show, great performances from all bands - a couple of them have played Reanimator before and not really won me over, but I felt everyone had really cranked it up a notch. Savage Messiah especially were essentially a different band and played like it, really impressive stuff. I think if these guys have a stable lineup they can easily go further. HOD were actually playing their second gig of the day and surprised me by still being blistering. I prefer their Megadeth cover to Transformers if their going to play a cover at all. It was a shame that the crowd thinned out after HOD but I think that was mainly due to the late running - we wanted to get as much as we could on what might have been our last ever show and I guess we did maybe overdo it a bit. Those that did stay to witness FKU must surely have been impressed.. Afterwards Dr. Death went to Eddies with some random girls and got totally wasted, apparently their show Sunday was pretty shambolic as a result. We decided to forego the curry in favour of tea and sandwiches with FKU as we were all totally ill by then (and I still am)
Despite a few hitches once again I had a brilliant time and it just reinforced my belief in real underground metal and live music. I want to say thanks again to everyone from Heretic, Dr. Death, Savage Messiah, Hospital of Death and FKU for travelling from all over the country to play, all who attended and anyone who's supported us so far. Cheers guys!
